Sidhar Temple and more than 1500 years old Thenupureswarar (Madambakkam Sivan) Temple which are located very close to each other, In front of these Temples is the Bhavya Swaruba Shri Ragavendra Swami's Miruthiga Nala Brindavan located in Chithalapakkam. In earlier days, Sidhars stayed here and they blessed this place. Hence it is named as "Sidharpakkam" and as the years rolled by it is now known as "Chitalapakkam" and also Sithalapakkam.
Aachariyar conducted regular poojas for the Chithalapakkam Brindhavan Miruthigai. In 48 days special poojas Mantralaya mirthigai was worshiped. Aachariyar kept the Mirthigai over his head and placed it with celebration and incidental music in Brindavan. Therefore it is termed as Miruthiga Brindhavan- to enlighten the Gururaj Brindhavan, Kumbabishegam was done beautifully.
Meanwhile an eagle from above came near the Gopura Kalasam and revolved around it 3 times. Seeing that, all the people exclaimed 'Narayana', 'Raghavendra'!. The uppermost part of the Gopura kalasam is the statue of Nagaraj with his eagle which is four facet.
